"Issyk-Kul Region and the Balkan Region of Turkmenistan have signed a cooperation agreement. I am giving instructions to the head of our entrepreneurs' association. G. Berdimuhamedov noted that Kyrgyz representatives, for their part, can visit the Turkmen National Park "Alazar", where they can choose any health resort based on the architecture and taking into account the local landscape.
“He (the head of the Association of Turkmen Entrepreneurs – KirTAG) will report to you about his work by winter,” said the head of Turkmenistan.
Berdimuhamedov thanked Atambayev for the invitation to visit Issyk-Kul, where he will be able to see first-hand the potential of Kyrgyzstan’s tourism sector.
“Of course, in this regard, the agreement that will be concluded between the Issyk-Kul region and the Balkan region – this line of cooperation will continue,” the Turkmen president added.
In total, 15 documents were signed following the negotiations between the presidents of the two countries.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is in Kyrgyzstan on his first state visit.
The agreement on the country's accession to the EAEU comes into force next Thursday.
“Kyrgyzstan is becoming the fifth full member of the Eurasian Economic Union, along with Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia,” the commission said in a statement.
The agreement on Kyrgyzstan's accession to the EAEU, consisting of the main part, which notes the fact of the republic's accession to the union and stipulates the main conditions, and three protocols, was signed in December 2014. In May of this year, the parties signed the last protocols. The necessary internal procedures were completed by Bishkek at the end of May. In July, the parliaments of the member states of the union ratified the agreement on Kyrgyzstan's accession. The republic will officially become a member of the EAEU on August 6.
